Matt Paweski & Andrea Sala, 2015, installation view @ Cherry Martin, Los Angeles

Andrea Sala imagines new environments and worlds by mixing present and future images, oscillating between reality, fiction and imagination. he gives special attention to the forms of design and architecture, questioning the materials that constitute them and their formal values. Taking his inspiration from design objects, Andrea Sala appropriates and transforms already existing forms, finding new potentialities and reshaping them into new aspects and contexts.

His works have gained international attention and have been exhibited in several venues, including the 9th Venice Biennale of Architecture (2004), the MAMCO Musée d’art moderne et contemporain in Geneva, Kaleïdoscope Space in Milan (2010), La Maison Rouge in Paris (2011), the Musée d'art de Joliette (2012) and the Fondation Molinari in Montreal (2012).
